Dizzy’s group were: Dizzy Gillespie trumpet, James Moody alto sax/tenor sax/flute, Kenny Barron piano, Chris White double bass and Rudy Collins drums. Jimmy Smith organ (Hammond) was accompanied by Jimmy Warren guitar and Bill Hart drums. Great modern jazz again – Dizzy’s straightahead bop and Jimmy Smith’s exciting organ playing.
