The Police, Apollo, Glasgow (GB) - 31 mai 1979

They were touring Reggatta de Blanc and this was their first headling tour, I think. The Apollo had only printed a limited number of tickets and when it sold out, they issued unsold Tangerine Dream briefs from the previous week with 'The Police' scribbled in pen!

This gig was immense. I spent the night dancing alongside Fay Fife (the Rezillos). 1st headline tour and just reached no1 first time I think. Half tickets sold prior to gig caused a riot at the door with half allowed to pay at door. I had a ticket so there must have been a rush through the doors as it was really overcrowded. The Cramps played support and caused havoc I thought they were going to pull the plug especially when Lux Interior appeared in the buff. Can't really remember the Police but they must have nad a blast.
