This Philip Glass opera was The Making of the Representative for Planet 8, the libretto being by Doris Lessing from her novel. The singers were Andrew Shore, Richard Angas, Gillian Webster, Simon Masterton-Smith, Tamsin Dives, John Kitchiner, Jady Pearl, Peter Bamber, Lesley Garrett and Christopher Gillett. Conductor Michael Lloyd. Minimalist music of course, interesting content (environmental change, social breakdown), rather studied.
