EFG London Jazz Festival Summer Stage/Join the Docks Festival : Kinetika Bloco, Royal Albert Dock, London (GB) - 31 août 2019

They came into the audience as a marching band, reminding one of New Orleans, a cavorting leader at the front, followed by a group of exuberant dancers, then a huge brass band consisting of uncountable trumpets, trombones and saxophones, sousaphones, tuba, woodwind with drums, steel pans and other percussion. The Kinetika Bloco project is based at Southbank Centre and one of its many ‘leaders’ is Claude Deppa the trumpeter. A very youthful band, all costumed, they provided a compelling spectacle.
