Gotts Street Park & Friends : Gotts Street Park, Barbican Centre, London (GB) - 26 nov. 2024

Started with a very enjoyable set by Olive Jones . The first two tracks were sublime . a mix of Julia Holter and Twin Peaks .
The main concert was a revolving set of guest vocalist . The first song was a an instrumental which started superbly and then seemed to tapper off . This was followed by a few songs by the highly gifted Rosie Lowe . Who a beautiful crystalline voice .This was followed by a song with Olive Jones .Flikka then followed with a couple more songs . At this stage I was thinking this is one of the best concerts I had been to in ages .
Sadly the next five songs were rap . The band maintained their musicality as a backing band , but sadly the vocals from three different artists added little in terms of lyrics or performance .
This was followed by s stunning performance of two songs by Celeste which eviscerated the memory of the previous 5 disappointing efforts . What a voice !
The concert concluded with three songs from Pip Millet . The songs were good but did not hit the heights reached by Celeste .
