The Calling All Nations Tour.

I don't remember the exact date, but I do remember being very excited about this one. It was with my kinda girlfriend, Marney. We were too young to drive so her older brother and his date drove us to Pine Knob for my first show. We sat on the lawn.

The opening band was Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers. "Tomorrow People" was the single at the time. I was not very interested.

It was finally dark outside so INXS could make their intro. The crowd was abuzz, a purple light appeared behind the drummer... a long pause... Bata bata, bata bata, bat. The "What You Need" drum intro fills the silence on stage. It was magical to me. Then Michael Hutchence rolls out on stage on a skateboard. The rest is a blur but, wow.

Later--
My Sister was decorating her room and I wanted her to have something cool to hang up and I let her hang up my INXS stub... later on I found out she threw it away, I was devsated. I guess that could be why I started saving all the other ones :)
