Firstar Corporation is the former name of U.S. Bancorp (U.S. Bank), a bank corporation in the United States. In 1999, Firstar was purchased by Star Bank (formally First National Cincinnati of Cincinnati, Ohio) which took the Firstar name. At this time the arena name was changed to Firstar Center.
