Mosaic consisted of Ralph Wyld vibraphone, Sam Rapley bass clarinet/clarinet, Misha Mullov-Abbado double bass, Scott Chapman drums/glockenspiel. Compositions were by Wyld. Numbers included: Subterranean, Cryptogram, White Horses, Dwelling Selling, Kaira Konko, Spirit of 92. The compositions/arrangements were interesting and the playing was sometimes impressive but, as with much British jazz, the music generally was rather studied and lacked verve compared with the great practitioners of yesteryear.
