RUSH-TEAR GAS CONCERT : Rush, Hollywood Sportatorium, Hollywood (US) - November 1981

After over an hour late not opening the gates, even though we here music...NO ONE GAVE ANY REASONS FOR WHY ! The police were being A$$'s before anybody started getting out of hand. then big guys climbed up the wall to the platform and cops came out with 2x4's and knocked a few people off ! Then the bigger guys took the 2x4s from the cops and hit them back ! Then...TEARGAS ARMAGEDDON !!! FRICKING HORRIBLE ! Then after all that we got in and RUSH apologized for how it was handled by the venue and police....then they put on a PERFECT SHOW ! INCREDIBLE .

We were in the middle. Rumor had it (we gotta find out... I'm curious, 'cuz Broon got replaced soon thereafter...) Neil was in the Bahamas and was late catching flight to FL, so he had to get a helicopter... sounds a little outlandish, but I'm curious as to what was the hold up? By the way, best Rush concert, EVER!
