EFG London Jazz Festival : Johnny Hunter, John Pope, Caroline Kraabel & John Edwards, Barbican Centre, London (GB) - Nov 13, 2022

Hunter drums, Pope and Edwards double bass, Kraabel alto sax/vocal effects, these are ‘free’ players and it sounded like it from the start with the unintegrated noise you often associate with such musical comings together. But they grew on you and it became possible to appreciate not just the individual skills but their attention to each other. It developed into a great thunderous all enveloping sound. Very well received.
